because people from all ages are obsessed with the hand held beauty called smartphone. It's actually something we couldn't even dream of a few decades back. Now it's something we can't survive a day without. The only problem I feel with the smartphones is their poor battery backup. They discharge far too easily. And I would like to share a small but useful info regarding their charging.
- Wall Socket the charger sources typically 1.0 Amps from the DC side. (some Apple and Nokia chargers support > 1.0 Amps)
- USB 2.0 port found on Laptops and Desktops the battery is charged with typically 0.5 Amps current.
- USB 3.0 port (blue colored one) the typical charging current is 0.9 Amps.
The more the current input to the smartphone, the more its charging rate . So next time if you are in a hurry use the wall socket or USB 3.0 port for fast charging. Use the USB 2.0 only if you have the liberty of time.
